DAY 5 – Friday, March 20: Sea of Galilee, Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Beit Igal Alon

Today begins at the Mount of Beatitudes. From there, it’s a short drive to the 2,000-year-old remains of Kfar Nachum (Capernaum), the center of our Lord Yeshua’s Galilean ministry and the site of many of His miracles (Mark 2:1-12; Matt. 8:5-17, 9:1-7). We will see the remains of an excavated first-century house that may have been the home of Shimon (Simon Peter); archaeologists have dated it to the time of the Apostles. We will also visit the site of the ancient synagogue where the Lord Jesus taught and worshiped (Mark 1:21; Luke 4:31). Afterward, we’ll enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee where we will participate in Bible essay writer hire study and prayer “on the water” before arriving at Beit Igal Alon. Here is where we will see the “Jesus Boat,” an ancient wooden fishing vessel discovered in 1986 on the banks of the Sea of Galilee. This particular boat dates to the time of our Lord and fits the description of a boat used in the Galilean ministry of Jesus and His disciples. We have dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
